Installation Process  of Parrot OS is not an easy task for all of the geek but in actually it is not a big task for the geek who have installed the previous version of parrot os . Installation Process has not been changed much , that’s why you don’t need to worry about installation, In this post you will learn clearly how to  install Parrot OS in VMware successfully without facing any errors. So let’s get started

 

Step 1:-  Downloading parrot OS from official website

 

To Download :-  Click on the Below link

 

Step 2 :- Creating virtual machine for parrot OS in Vmware.

 

Creating of Virtual machine in VMware is almost easy, let’s follow me to create virtual machine for Parrot OS 4.9.1 ->

 

*  First of all open VMware workstation ->

 

Next Screen ->

*  click on (create a new Virtual Machine)

 

 

Next Screen ->

*  Here select (typical-recommended ) and click on next ->

 

 

Next Screen->

*  Here select (installers disc image file) and then click on (Browse) ->

*  Now select Parrot OS ISO file that you have downloaded from the official website,  then click on open.

 

 

Next Screen:- 

*  Here you can see that we have successfully browses the ISO file of parrot OS, now click on Next:-

 

 

Next Screen :-

*  Here you have to choose Linux because it is a distribution of Linux operating system , the select Debian Version, then click on next.

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now time to name your Virtual machine you can name it to (Parrot OS). then click on next to continue:-

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now Assign the space that you want to provide to virtual machine of parrot OS (minimum  = 20GB), then choose (store virtual disk as a single file). Then Click on Next:-

 

Next Screen :-

Now click on finish.

 

 

Next Screen:-

Here you can see that number  of processor is 1 but it should be minimum 2, so let’s increase it, to increase it double click on processor then, 

 

 

Next Screen:-

* here you can see that we have increase the processor, you can also change it, then click on (OK).

 

Next screen:- 

*  Now run the Parrot OS virtual machine as follow ;-

 

Next Screen:-

 

 

Step 3:- Installing Parrot OS in Virtual Machine (Vmware)

 

Installation Screen:-

 

 

*  Here click on install then,

 

 

Next screen:-

*  Now Click on ( Install with GTK GUI), then:-

 

 

Next Screen :-

*  Now choose your language (English) then click on continue. 

 

 

Next Screen:- 

*  Now time to select your location (by default keep it United States) then click on continue. 

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Here you gave to configure your keyboard language layout (American English), then click on continue.

 

 

Next screen:-

You can see here that ( Loading additional components) which indicate that your installation process has been started.

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now you have to assign the password for root  then click on continue to proceed to next  step .

 

 

Next Screen :- 

*  Now you have to create a new user that’s why you need to specify the name of new user and then click on continue:-

 

 

Next Screen :- 

*  Now again create new password for the new user that you have created earlier, then click on continue.

 

 

Next Screen:-

Now configure the clock of the parrot Os, in my case it is ( Eastern ) then click on continue.

 

 

Next screen:-

*  Now you see that our Disk partitioner is starting,

 

 

Next Screen:-

* As we can see that our disk partitioner window is opened, Now click on Manual then click on continue.

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now Select (SCSI) section and then click on continue.

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now Choose (YES) and click on continue.

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now choose (pri/log) section and then click on continue:-

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now select (create new partition) and then click on continue:-

 

 

Next Screen:- 

*  Now partition your disk into two part in which main disk part should be minimum 15 GB and then click on continue.

 

 

Next Screen:- 

 * Now select primary and then click on continue. 

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now select beginning and then click on continue.

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now click on (done setting….) and then continue.

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now you can see here there has been  two partition created. Now select (FREE SPACE)  disk section and then click on continue.

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now choose (create a new partition ) and then continue.

 

 

Next Screen :-

 

*  Now keep it same because we need approx 5 Gb of swap area, then click on continue.

 

 

Next Screen:-

 * Here choose (Logical) and then click on continue…

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now double-click on ( use as) then …

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now choose (Swap area) and then click on continue…

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now click on ( done setting up the partition ) and then click on continue..

 

 

Next Screen :-

 * Now click on ( Finish partition and write changes on disk ) and then click on continue…

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now choose (YES) and then click on continue…

 

 

Next Screen :-

*  You can see here that your final installation process has been start. 

Now wait for few minutes(10-15) to get complete installation. then..

 

 

Next Screen:-

 

Step 4 :- Installing GRUB boot loader …

 

*  Now time to install GRUB boot loader, to install choose yes and then click on continue..

 

 

Next Screen:-

*  Now time to choose where you want to install GRUB boot loader so, select (dev/sda) and then click on continue…

 

 

Next Screeen :-

Next Screen:-

*  Now you can see our final installation process is going to complete..

 

 

Next Screen:-

 

*  Now Finally installation process has been completed

 

Your virtual machine will get restart and few seconds and then..

 

Log-in Screen:-

*  Now enter your password that you have created during installation process then log-in.
